British talent Jade Bird had quite the year last year, releasing her debut EP Something American via Glassnote Records and achieving a nomination for the BBC Sound of 2018 Poll. She also went on tour with London Grammar and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, and sold out her headline show at Omeara. It’s therefore little surprise that she’s started off this year with in a bang(er) – ‘Lottery’. The track is the first we’ve heard since her debut EP and once again displays her extraordinary storytelling ability. "Lottery is a look into a new colourful vibrant phase of my songwriting. It’s full of energy and happiness but actually quite the heartbreak song in the end” – says Bird.
